International Day of Languages

On Friday 27th September, we celebrated a day of languages to promote the linguistic and cultural diversity of our school and explore the importance of language learning. There was a great 'buzz' around Talbot as children came into school dressed in the colours of different international flags - we even had some creative costumes of animals from different parts of the world!

During the day, children had the opportunity to learn words, greetings and short phrases from different languages and share their own experiences of speaking other languages other than English. It was a great day where everybody learnt some new and interesting facts about other places around the world as well as phrases from a different language!
