Mental Health and Well-being
At Talbot Primary School, we are committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of our children. We believe a supportive environment is essential for learning and growth. This page is for our children to access help if needed.
If you have any concerns about your or a friend's mental health remember that you can talk to your Mum or Dad, friends, teachers or another adult you trust in school. These could be one of your five trusted adults.
If you would like some more help from Mrs Gill, Mr Rivers, Mrs Quinn, Mrs Mitchell or Miss Price remember it is there. If you do not want to speak to an adult directly, you can always email the school at admin@talbotprimary.net and we will be able to help.
Sometimes we know that you may want to get some support from outside of school. Here are three signposts that may be helpful:
- Mindmate: This is a Leeds website and can provide help on emotional wellbeing and mental health issues. Click here for a link.
- Childline: This is a free and confidential helpline for children and young adults. Click here for a link or call this number: 0800 1111
- Young Minds: A free 24 hour service. Text YM to 85258 for help or click here for a link.
More information on how we support mental health in school can be found in our PSHE policy (see the policy and information page of the website), whole school event and curriculum pages.
