Relax and Read, developing life-long habits
Reading is so important to us in Reception and we listen to stories every day. We often repeat stories so the children are hearing these each day; this is called ‘repeated reads.’
We enjoyed having our parents and carers come into school at the end of the school day to spend time with us. We all got cosy in the areas within the classroom and listened to books read by our parents and we shared all our favourite books with each other.
It is such a valuable time to spend with your child and gives them the opportunity to share their favourite stories and things within the classroom. We really hope you enjoyed coming into our school to get cosy with your child and read them a story. The children are looking forward to seeing you again soon.
