Experiential learning - Snow Day
The Reception children explored the snow, making angels and working together to make a snowman. They especially loved opening an ice cream shop, scooping doubles and even triple scoops, before choosing which paint to squeeze on top to be different flavours. This activity also helped the children develop their fine motor skills to get the paint out.
The snow was very deep, so the children measured it and compared the depth in different areas. They also looked at the prints, that they made in the snow.
