Year Two Nativity: Cockadoodledo!

As part of a long-standing Talbot tradition, the children of Year Two performed a wonderful Christmas nativity in front of a packed audience full of proud grown-ups. The performance featured quirky animals, angels, stars, Mary and Joseph and some very confident narrators who told this festive story beautifully. This performance was a delightful twist on the traditional nativity and it was definitely a memorable afternoon for all.

The Year Two children had been practising hard for several weeks in the lead up to this special performance. Prior to the main performance for their grown-ups, the children delivered a dress-rehearsal in the Key Stage Two hall for our Reception classes. The dress rehearsal was a delight for our Reception children and helped build the confidence of the Year Two pupils in the lead up to their big performance.

Both the Year One and Year Two children had learnt eight songs and a range of dance routines for the nativity across a number of weeks with the help of Mrs Quinn’s singing assemblies. They have worked extremely hard in remembering their lines and it is certainly no easy feat to do this in front of a packed audience! It was all worth it to see the smiling faces of both the children and the adults. Behind the scenes, the Year Two teaching team have worked tirelessly preparing music, costumes and a five-star script that led to applause from all corners of the Key Stage Two hall. Year Two have delivered for Christmas once again!
