1JG are Amazing at maths.
In Year One, we believe this is a journey. Our journey began by making and presenting numbers different ways.
The children used concrete objects from around the classroom to make numbers to 10, placing them in rows, columns and groups to help them recognise numbers in different shapes and forms.
We then replaced the concrete objects with more abstract objects like counters, and used a ten frame to show our number.
The children have been so keen to show their learning many showing their learning not just one way but up to 3 different ways.
