Vision Statement

Our vision – ‘Courage, Truth and Loyalty’

Our school is guided by the principles of ‘Courage, Truth and Loyalty.’  Children, staff, parents and governors all ensure that Talbot Primary is a happy place where everyone wants to be. As a school we aim to:

  • establish a progressive learning culture which maintains high expectations, standards and outcomes
  • ensure that each child is valued as an individual, enabling them to develop a positive self-image and respect for others
  • develop children’s confidence in their capacity to learn both independently and as a team
  • support children in their ability to reflect on their learning and develop the key skills of resilience, adaptation and application
  • provide high quality teaching and equality of access to a long lasting, broad curriculum
  • secure learning which is relevant to our lives now, and, in the future
  • provide a safe, well-resourced, flexible and e-confident environment that supports curiosity, aspiration and a passion for learning from all
  • ensure that children are well equipped with the values and community awareness which will support them for life in Modern Britain
  • develop the voice of all stakeholders and ensure that our children and parents successfully inform our learning culture

Essentially, our principles of ‘Courage, Truth and Loyalty’ ensure that we embrace new challenges, push our limits, take our responsibilities seriously and always celebrate our community.  We take pride in our achievements and always aim higher.
